Who we are
Kernow Labs ("we", "us") operates www.kernowlabs.com. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this site. You can contact us about privacy at hello@kernowlabs.com.
Information we collect
When you contact us
This site does not have contact forms or user accounts. If you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this to reply to you and, if you become a client, to provide our services.
When you browse the site
This is a static website. It does not set cookies of its own, does not run analytics scripts, and does not use advertising or tracking technologies.
Like almost all websites, the servers that deliver it record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site secure and available, and is retained only for as long as needed for that purpose.
The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Google's handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.
Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide services you ask for. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and performing that contract.
- To keep the site secure and running. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, such as our hosting and email providers, and only as needed for them to provide those services. We may also disclose information where required by law.
International transfers
Kernow Labs operates from the United Kingdom and Germany, and our providers may process data in other countries. Where personal information leaves the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK and EU data protection law, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of our relationship and any period required afterwards by law or for resolving disputes.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@kernowlabs.com.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In Germany it is the data protection authority for the state in which you live.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
